Pull Up on Portland

The MacPhee Centre for Creative Learning is honoured to partner alongside Dena and her team at Vitamin Dee Entertainment in bringing the Pull Up on Portland event to Downtown Dartmouth.

Recognizing the diversity of our community and showcasing BIPOC business and creative brilliance is what Vitamin Dee does best. Dena was able to mobilize and engage a huge community, bringing new energy to the downtown core and was a pleasure to work with in doing so. Her knowledge, network, and the frameworks she brings to community and arts engagement are unparalleled. If you’re looking for someone to bring a vision to reality - look no further than Vitamin Dee Entertainment.

Pull Up on Portland

Dena is a pleasure to work with on events. For the Pull on Portland, she was focused on both the details and the overall experience. The Pull Up on Portland event brought new BIPOC vendors and shoppers to downtown Dartmouth and highlighted the need & potential for more diversity in our downtown. Dena connected us with diverse communities and made the event a success. The performers, vendors, our businesses and the general Public all had an awesome time. I look forward to working with Dena again!

Halifax Jazz Festival

Working with Vitamin Dee Entertainment has been a real treat. The TD Halifax Jazz Festival (one of the largest music festivals in Atlantic Canada) has employed Dena to curate a number of performances with our festival. She has done a wonderful job of connecting us with amazing emerging and established talent, many of whom we would otherwise have been unaware of. Dena conducts herself in a professional manner and has a calm, level-headed mindset that is essential for working in the entertainment industry.

Halifax Black Film Festival

Dena came on board to help us with a panel series for the Halifax Black Film Festival. We expected someone to help us with logistics and instead got so much more. We wanted someone organized and efficient, Dena went above and beyond! Dena brings a strong sense of quiet confidence, solid creative ideas, and a willingness to do whatever it takes to make a project work. She will go on to do big things some day and we are proud to say the HBFF was part of her journey.

ACCE:

Hidden Arts Series

Vitamin Dee Entertainment came on board to produce the first “Hidden Arts” event for ACCE - which was stellar!

This was our debut to community and supporters; Dena took this into account to help us bring our vision to life. Working under tight timelines, she handled event direction and coordination with the featured artists with excellent attention to detail and produced a show that brought our vibe and values to the public.

Above all, she did the job with grace. We look forward to working with her in the future!
