INTRODUCING DEE!

Dena Williams, Owner and Founder of Vitamin Dee Entertainment

About DeE …

New Jack Swingin' her way through life, Dena Williams carries her Scotian, 'Downhome', roots with her everywhere she goes. Little did she know that by going to a concert in Toronto, a growing vision for Vitamin Dee Entertainment would be planted. A simple desire to put people on stage sent her on the ground running to volunteer with an Arts Organization that would lead her to many open doors in the creative arts community, where she started to gain experience in Stage Management and Live Event Logistics and Support. After six months of volunteering, Dena started to see that the needs of the music industry were beyond performance opportunities. While working her first paid gig as the founding coordinator of Halifax’s Salt Yard Sessions, she decided that it was time to begin building the entertainment company we now know as Vitamin Dee Entertainment.

Dena is a creative entrepreneur who’s drive to continue championing for light and love through art and creativity is rooted and grounded in her faith. Dena believes that she is part of those known as the “light of the world” and aims to spread that light through Vitamin Dee Entertainment by ensuring that the resources and opportunities for success in the creative arts industry are accessible to all and that space is being made for Christian, faith-based creative arts to be supported and established locally with expectation of global establishment and influence as well.

Since 2019, Vitamin Dee Entertainment has embarked on a number of collaborative opportunities with organizations such as Youth Art Connection, the Delmore “Buddy” Daye Learning Institute, A.C.C.E. Sandbox Studios, Jazz Festival, Develop Nova Scotia, the Halifax Black Film Festival, the Stellar Awards, Creative Control Entertainment, and Tyler Perry Studios. Dena currently serves as a Vice President of Music Nova Scotia, Council Member of the Creative Nova Scotia Leadership Council, a former EAAC Committee Member for the Atlantic Presenters Association and is the latest addition to ADVANCE as the Chair of their Membership Committee.
